People: Dentsu One Manila strengthens creative leadership with key promotion

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Dentsu One Manila beefs up its creative leadership with the promotion of Adrian Nicholas Borromeo to Associate Creative Director.

An energetic and ebullient creative, Borromeo brought over his award and new biz winning streak to Dentsu One Manila, from Dentsu Jayme Syfu last February 2021. But despite the move, his winning ways continued as he managed to help win new business and inject fresh creativity for Dentsu One Manila.

Prior to his move to Dentsu One Manila, Borromeo was a consistent award and new biz winner as a copywriter in Dentsu Jayme Syfu. He was the copywriter behind the massively viral #UberStories in 2017. He also won several local and international awards for Uber, Belo Deodorant, Metro Manila Film Festival, and the National Book Council. His latest award-winning work, Gabriela “Capcharing Harrassment” garnered 2 Cresta Awards and a shortlist at last year’s Adstars. A consistent new business winner, Borromeo aims to continue that streak in Dentsu One Manila.

Merlee Jayme, Dentsu International APAC’s Chief Creative Officer vouches for this, “Energy and passion. That’s what the newly minted ACD Borro and the new young creatives bring to this agency everyday. I will never get tired of brainstorming and creating ideas with them. They are the future after all.”

“I am confident that Borro will continue to be instrumental in new business wins and creative accolades for Dentsu One Manila. Congrats on his well-deserved promotion!” adds Dentsu One Manila’s Managing Director Alex Y. Syfu.

Jerry Hizon, Dentsu One Manila’s Chief Creative Officer proudly shares that “As Dentsu One Manila’s newest creative leader, he infects everyone with his enthusiasm and energy. His athlete background enables him to blend competitiveness and camaraderie – which are key elements when leading a team that’s going for new business, clients’ approval or creative awards”.

Aside from being Dentsu One Manila’s newest Associate Creative Director, Borromeo is also a fitness instructor and was among When In’s Top 24 Male Fitness Instructors.

Borromeo’s promotion is part of Dentsu One Manila’s drive to further strengthen its creative department. In recent months, D1M added Creative Leads Nonie Tobias-Azores and Rica Manuel, along with rising talents Anika Casimiro, Key Villacarlos, Maudi Villanueva, Kaira Buenaventura and Trina Armedilla, to help bolster the roster that already includes award-winning creatives working on brands like Ginebra San Miguel, Nissin, CDO, Metrobank, Honda, Dole, URC, among others.
