MANILA, PHILIPPINES — To celebrate the inauguration of the newly-constructed Culture and Arts Center building of Lipa City, the Cultural Center of the Philippines, through its Office of the President, and the Lipa City Government present the world-renowned Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, as well some of the most respected artists in the country today, for a night of musical spectacle. The special musical event, entitled “PPO CONCERT AT LIPA, BATANGAS,” is slated for Friday (March 18, 2022), at 7:00PM. This event is part of the PPO Outreach program, one of the flagship programs spearheaded by CCP President Arsenio ‘Nick’ Lizaso.
“This is a very special event for CCP because it signals the start of our outreach program that has been put on hold because of the pandemic,” says CCP President Arsenio ‘Nick’ Lizaso, “We have been through a lot over the past two years and we think this concert will bring back hope and will serve as an inspiration, not just for the people of Lipa, but to every Filipino, that we are well on our way to recovery.”
The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Herminigildo Ranera, will be performing some of their timeless pieces that have cemented their prominence in the world music scene. Apart from the PPO, some of the established artists in the country will also grace the concert: Internationally renowned Tenor Arthur Espiritu, popular Soprano Lara Maigue, Philippine Theater royalties Robert and Isay Seña, Classical Balladeer Bo Cerrudo, and powerful duo The Nightingales, composed of Bianca Lopez-Aguila and Bernadette Mamauag.
The concert is free and open to the public; however, strict protocols will be implemented to ensure that the health and safety of the attendees and performers will not be compromised. All attendees must be fully vaccinated and must wear a face mask during the whole program of the show.
