Adobo SheCreative: Introducing Rita Nazareno, an award-winning creative who empowers women through her craft

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — As we continue with International Women’s Month, the United Nations (UN) once again celebrates the tremendous efforts of women and girls around the world in shaping a more equal future.

An individual who deserves this acknowledgment is Rita Nazareno, a former Emmy Award-winning television producer-turned-creative director. Currently, she is at the helm of ZACARIAS 1925, a bag and accessories brand that merges contemporary design techniques with the time-honored craft of hand-weaving from S.C. Vizcarra, their family business. If it isn’t evident enough, Rita is no stranger to breaking down barriers to women’s creative capacities, and as someone who excels at her craft, she empowers other women to do the same.
