Beer is lighter than water: Atlas beer billboard cruises along Panama waters

GLOBAL – PANAMA CITY, FEBRUARY 2, 2011 – Breaking the boundaries of outdoor advertising is Atlas beer’s 72-feet floating billboard, towed along Panama City beaches. It has made waves, literally and figuratively, as Panama’s most popular beer kicked off the “El Sabor Por Mi Gente” campaign.

“The mobile floating billboard is towed by boat along popular Panama City beaches and commercial areas, exposed to thousands each day. With no visual clutter on the water, the 72′ Atlas floating billboard is eye catching,” said Pedro Ochoa, president of In & Out Media Group, a division of Panama Portable Billboards.

Atlas beer is owned by Cervecería Nacional, who was purchased by SAB Miller in 2005. Cerveceria Nacional teamed up with Panama Portable Billboards, a division of In & Out Media Group, to supply the floating inflatable billboard.

The towering amphibious billboard features over 2100 square feet of outdoor advertising space and is comprised of six separate sections.
