Shake mo TV mo indeed. Months after launching new programming that retook third place in the ratings, Chris Sy leaves the CEO slot at the troubled network.
Reports cite management differences between Sy and his employers MPB Primedia. The latter has a long-term blocktimer deal with network owners the Associated Broadcasting Company (ABC), and is backed by Malaysian media fund Primedia.
The network is also being sued by rival GMA 7, which alleges that Primedia’s involvement violates constitutional rules on local ownership of media.
