Michael Tam named president of RedWorks China

 ASIA-PACIFIC – CHINA, APRIL 2, 2013 – Michael Tam has been appointed as president of RedWorks China, Ogilvy & Mather’s design and production unit, effective immediately. 

 
Tam’s 15-year diverse, professional background has seen him taking up various roles like brand marketer, governmental and non-governmental consultant, and art gallery founder and curator. He is known industry-wide as a champion for change, being a global communications advisor to the Beijing government since 2010. Tam had also previously worked at Euro RSCG 4D/Field Force and Saatchi & Saatchi. 
 
“As one of the fastest growing operations in the China market, RedWorks China has evolved into one of the top end-to-end production houses for all forms of content,” said Shenan Chuang, CEO of Ogilvy & Mather, Greater China. “Michael’s an integrated marketer at the forefront of the next generation in integrated communications and I’m convinced that he’ll continue to take the discipline to new heights with his spirit of entrepreneurship.” 
 
In addition to its offline production, Redworks China’s digital offerings include online advertising, emails, websites and microsites, mobile apps, motion graphics and animation, digital signage and social media. In his new role, Tam will prioritize establishing RedWorks’ national and regional hubs, which will standardize the production quality and execution of complex integrated campaigns. He will also focus on strengthening the discipline in Shanghai and growing its external business in Beijing.
