Happiness Saigon launches Việt Mockup Library to spotlight authentic Asian creativity

Vietnamese creativity is gaining global momentum, but the tools used to present it have often lagged behind. For years, designers and agencies creating work for Vietnam have had to rely on generic Western mockups that fail to reflect the environments their ideas are actually made for.

Recognizing this gap, Happiness Saigon has launched the Việt Mockup Library, an open-source platform built from real Vietnamese media placements and designed specifically for local creatives seeking a more authentic visual canvas.

The initiative reflects the agency’s broader mission to elevate Vietnamese creativity on the global stage. As local creative standards continue to rise, Happiness Saigon believed the presentation tools supporting that work should evolve alongside them.

The result is what the agency describes as the first mockup library made for Asia — a free and accessible collection of mockup templates created using real locations across Vietnam.

Rather than relying on imported cityscapes or stock imagery, Happiness Saigon photographed and developed every asset in-house. Each template captures the textures, formats, and visual nuances of Vietnam as local creatives experience it every day.

More than just a design utility, the Việt Mockup Library serves as a creative correction — replacing borrowed visual contexts with settings that feel culturally relevant and locally grounded. The platform is designed to support students, freelancers, agencies, and brands by making accurate Vietnamese mockups easier to access and use.

The project also addresses a wider industry issue: strong local ideas are too often presented in environments that do not reflect their intended audiences. By bridging this disconnect, Happiness Saigon hopes to provide designers with a more credible and meaningful way to showcase their work.

Beyond its practical value, the Việt Mockup Library signals a broader shift in the regional creative industry and highlights the type of infrastructure needed to support the next generation of Asian creativity.

Happiness Saigon is also encouraging collaboration beyond Vietnam. The agency shared that any Asian-based agency interested in addressing similar under-representation issues can contact them at [email protected] to access the framework behind the initiative.
