adobo magazine tops Effective Digital Publishing at Asian Publishing Awards 2011

ASIA-PACIFIC – BANGKOK, THAILAND, JULY 11, 2011 – adobo magazine‘s digital platforms topped the Effective Digital Publishing category, joining nine other winners and 16 Excellence awardees in 11 categories at the Asian Publishing Awards (APA) on July 8 at The Landmark Bangkok.

The APA recognizes best practices in publishing across the region and incorporates the Asian Magazine Management Awards, Asian Book Publishing Awards, and the Asian Corporate Communications Awards. The awardees were culled from 63 entries submitted by 29 companies.

“It might come as a surprise that a niche publication from the Philippines with few resources can be recognized in the region as the best in digital publishing. But this is the world we are living in today, a world where a small team can produce both a print publication and its multimedia formats, and maintain thought leadership in the process,” said adobo magazine Editor-in-Chief Angel Guerrero in her acceptance speech.
