ASIA PACIFIC – December 12, 2013 – PixelBox Asia has had a busy 2013 starting the year with the official opening of PixelBox Shanghai and then the opening of its new Hong Kong facility now based in the vibrant Wan Chai.
The move came with significant investment of new equipment, an upgraded audio suite and additional staff across its Hong Kong and Shanghai facilities.
“Our strategy for the next five years will continue the growth of our Hong Kong and Shanghai operations starting with the addition of three Autodesk suites and the upgrading of both our Baselight color grading systems ensuring we deliver clients the best performance and service to our clients,” Chris Thorp, PixelBox, Managing Director said.
PixelBox also makes major additions to its production department in both Hong Kong and Shanghai. Doris Yuen, Producer joins the Hong Kong team from a local post production company, where she has spent 5 years working extensively producing TVC work with clients such as Neutrogena, Palmolive, China Unicom, Tsing Tao Beer and Nikon. Echo Zhu joins to head up the Shanghai production team. Echo brings with her a wide-ranging production and post knowledge having most recently worked with VFX & motion control specialists WonderFilms where her clients included Chevrolet, Yum Group and Dyson. She also brings experience of event live communications having produced launches for Mercedes-Benz and Porsche.
In 2013, PixelBox has continued to facilate varied projects Asia wide that includes work for Honda China starring Christiano Ronaldo (Hakuhodo Guangzhou), Toyota (Hakuhodo Malaysia), Smart Communications (DDB Manila), Volkswagen Golf (DMG), Suntory-PepsiCo (JWT Vietnam), Rejoice (Leo Burnett Mumbai) and Prudential (Hong Kong).
