Bromanticism, Mainstream Nudity and Wordvertising among Trend Hunter’s print trends

GLOBAL – MARCH 2011 – Trend website Trend Hunter has announced its Print Trend Report showcasing the latest print trends and innovations. Trend Hunter tracks the evolution of what is perhaps the oldest marketing medium as new applications emerge.

A few of the featured print trends are “Bromanticism”, where brotherly friendships border on the romantic; “Wordvertising” which tracks the impact of typography on consumers; and “Fakevertising”, where spoofs and false ads are used to grab attention. “Sympathetic Awakening” still makes an emotional impact on viewers through photographic realism, while “Submersive Selling” makes its mark with the illusion of magic created by underwater shots. “Mainstream Nudity” is also popular, indicating an increasing acceptance of the human body as art.
