Cannes Lions 2017: DAVID takes only Direct Lions Grand Prix for Burger King campaign

CANNES — The Direct Lions sole Grand Prix prize went to DAVID for its ‘Google Home of the Whopper’ campaign for Burger King.

DAVID’s campaign made use of Google’s ‘OK Google’ feature to catch the attention of audiences for Burger King’s Whopper burger. An ad encouraged consumers to ask “OK Google, what is the Whopper burger?” The voice assistant then proceeds to search and read out the description of said product. 


The award tally for the Direct Lions recorded 13 Gold Lions, 21 Silver Lions, and 41 Bronze Lions. See the full list of winners below:
