MANILA, PHILIPPINES – This September, Mind S-Cool TV returns for its seventh season with a bold new concept that reimagines urgent global issues as characters in a community called Barangay Komplikado. The award-winning educational program by the Bonifacio Art Foundation, Inc. (BAFI) continues its mission of making science engaging and accessible, this time by personifying the pressing problems of our time.

In Barangay Komplikado, six Very Important Problems or VIPs – take center stage: Klima, representing the climate crisis; Sari, who mourns the loss of biodiversity; Susi, who urges deeper understanding of sustainability; Uno’s, embodying the growing intensity of disasters; Hilom, who guides the journey of resilience and recovery; and Bukas, the most elusive of all, symbolizing our collective futures.
These VIPs challenge both the residents of Barangay Komplikado and the show’s Questers—Mikee, Pecier, Mario, and Megan—through a series of adventures designed to spark creative problem-solving. Guided by Manong G, the guardian of knowledge, the Questers navigate the interconnected challenges posed by the VIPs, showing that no issue can be solved in isolation.

The season culminates with one final quest to unlock clarity with BUKAS, where lessons from the other VIPs converge to highlight the values and choices that will shape our shared tomorrow.
Mind S-Cool TV Season 7 is produced by BAFI in partnership with the Center for Conservation Innovations PH, Inc. (CCIPH), with support from the Mindoro Forest and Biodiversity Conservation Programme (MFBCP) and the Government of Canada.
The new season premieres on September 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. on Cignal TV’s ONE PH Channel 1 and will also stream on the Mind S-Cool YouTube channel.
For over a decade, BAFI has championed science and the arts through initiatives such as The Mind Museum, the BGC Arts Center, and Mind S-Cool, helping elevate both community and national life by fostering curiosity, resilience, and solutions-driven thinking.
