After seven years in the network, Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) Global CEO Dick Van Motman has stepped down from his position, just eight months after moving into the role earlier this year.
In a statement regarding his departure, Van Motman shared that after his extensive career in the industry, he has chosen to venture out and apply his experience elsewhere. He expressed his involvement with a few start up businesses and advisory boards in the fintech, adtech and healthtech industires, as well as the possibility of branching out into other opportunities in the future.
Van Motman had joined DAN in 2012, and his departure came in the wake of a tumultuous year for the network, with multiple high profile exits (such as the departure of their chief commercial officer for DAN Asia-Pacific, and Vizeum APAC CEO to name a few,) as well as major changes in structure and management.
Tim Andree, Executive Chairman and CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network, expressed his gratitude for Van Motman’s contribution to the network, and Van Motman will serve as an advisor to Andree, effective immediately. He will officially leave DAN at the end of the year.
