BRAZIL – A few days before the most awaited Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Google has announced a comprehensive guide that will help people from around the world to stay up-to-date with this important global event.
As announced on the Official Google Blog, the guide will be providing the event schedules, medal counts and athlete information right in Search. Google will also be providing an option to get automatic updates on when using the Google app on Android and iOS.
For unrivalled video content, Youtube has partner with official broadcasters in more than 60 countries including BBC in the UK and NHK in Japan to provide video highlights. Youtube content creators will also be present not just in the Games but in and around Rio, live streaming the events as they happen.
Google will also be deploying Street View cameras around Rio de Janeiro to give users a more immersive experience and appreciation of this year’s host country.
Google hints at announcing more products and services that will bring the world closer to the Rio Olympic Games in the coming days.
