Lo Ting-Fai appointed as President, Warner Music APAC

HONG KONG, SAR – Warner Music Group (NASDAQ: WMG) has announced the appointment of seasoned entertainment executive Lo Ting-Fai, known professionally as Lofai, as President, Warner Music APAC. Effective August 11, Lofai will be based in Hong Kong, reporting directly to Robert Kyncl, CEO of WMG. All recorded music territory heads across the Asia-Pacific region will report to him.

Lofai brings a wealth of cross-industry expertise to the role, having most recently served as CEO of MakerVille, a PCCW subsidiary specializing in content creation, artist management and live events, alongside his role as COO of Viu, the company’s regional OTT streaming platform. An accomplished songwriter under the pseudonym “Yu Ri,” he has penned several hit tracks, further cementing his creative credentials.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Lofai began his career in radio before moving into the creative advertising sector, working with agencies such as Wieden+Kennedy and CTWCM. He later joined Apple as Creative Director for Asia Pacific, before transitioning to PCCW in 2010. His academic background includes studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the University of Oxford, and Harvard Business School.

With his unique combination of creative expertise, strategic vision, and deep industry connections, Lofai is poised to play a pivotal role in driving Warner Music’s ambitious growth and innovation agenda across the Asia-Pacific region.
