People: DDB Hong Kong Welcomes the Return of Frankie Fung as the New Executive Creative Director

DDB Group Hong Kong has strengthened its creative leadership with the addition of Frankie Fung as Executive Creative Director.

The appointment marks Fung’s return to DDB Group Hong Kong with the esteemed creative previously working at the agency between 2011 and 2015.

With nearly 20 years’ experience in Hong Kong and China and over 100 local and international creative and marketing awards, Fung is a highly respected creative in the industry.

Fung has held a number of Creative Director roles in other prominent creative agencies, including Saatchi and Saatchi Guangzhou and Leo Burnett Hong Kong. His work for blue-chip brands, including McDonald’s, Manulife, Volkswagen, Philips and HSBC, has been recognised both locally and the world over, including being awarded the Hong Kong Grand Kam Fan, and Cannes, One Show, Spikes Asia, Adfest and Effie Awards.

He will now bring his experience and understanding of the McDonald’s business back to DDB where he will be leading the development of integrated creative on this account, as well as on other local business.

As a part of the agency’s management team Frankie will also help shape the overall direction of the company, reporting directly into recently appointed DDB Group Hong Kong CEO, Andreas Krasser.
