In rescuing kidnapping victims, studies show the first 48 hours is the most crucial. This is one of the most important messages BBDO Pakistan and Berger Paints wanted to send out. In this collaboration, they turned truck art, regarded as an important part of Pakistani culture, into tools they can use to locate missing children. Together with artist and anthropologist Samar Minallah Khan, they turned the vehicles into moving billboards with the face of a missing child on them.

Stop Jahezkhori
Advertiser: UN Women
Award: Grand Prix for Good; Glass Spike for Gender Empowerment; Bronze Spike in Design

To raise awareness about the issues that women face because of forced dowry, BBDO Pakistan and UN Women created a campaign where they used the most recognizable symbols of marriage in the region—hands adorned with henna—and transformed it to send across their message: Stop Jahezkhori (Dowrymongering)

The Bridal Uniform
Advertiser: UN Women
Award: Silver Spike in Healthcare for Awareness and Education.

According to “The Bridal Uniform” campaign video, approximately 25,000 Pakistani girls become child brides everyday. To convince people to raise the legal age of marriage to 18 years old, UN Women partnered with BBDO Pakistan to hijack a fashion show at the Bridal Couture Week. At the end of the show, a child wearing a school uniform with wedding embroidery on it emerged and created quite a stir in the community and the world over.

With these wins at Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity, BBDO Pakistan continues its winning streak at international awards shows.

Apart from big wins earned by BBDO Pakistan, BBDO Worldwide was also awarded the APAC Network of the Year for the sixth time in a row.
