Spikes Asia 2019: Spikes Asia and Tiger Beer Announce Finalists of the Young Spikes x Tiger Beer #RareStripes Design competition

Spikes Asia and the festival’s Official Partner, Tiger Beer, have announced the five shortlisted teams selected to take part in the Young Spikes x Tiger Beer #RareStripes Design competition. 180 teams of two applied for the opportunity to compete live at the Spikes Asia Festival, taking place from the 25-27 September 2019 at Suntec, Singapore.

Spikes Asia brings Asia Pacific’s creative community together for three days of learning, inspiration and networking. The Festival’s Official Partnership with Tiger Beer, Asia’s number one international premium beer, will support raw and emerging talent to uncage their tiger and create opportunities and a platform for emerging creative talent to shine.

Applications for the Young Spikes x Tiger Beer #RareStripes Design competition were reviewed by Spikes Asia and Tiger Beer representatives to select the best creative teams to compete at the finals at Spikes Asia festival. Each shortlisted team will receive a creative brief one week before the event. They will then need to produce a conceptual #RareStripes idea that answers the brief. This could be a design, product, experiential, or creative communications idea that can be produced to spread awareness about the Tiger Beer Saving Wild Tigers programme. The competition will culminate in a live judging session during Spikes Asia, where the winning team will be selected.

The winning team will then get an opportunity to collaborate with Tiger Beer and have their eventual concept brought to life and sold commercially as a part of the Tiger Beer #RareStripes collection.

Joe Pullos, Festival Director of Spikes Asia, said: “Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity supports young and emerging talent from across Asia Pacific to get ahead in the industry, providing a prestigious platform to raise their creative potential.
