archibald ingall stretton… announces senior hires

GLOBAL – MAY 2011 – In a move to boost its senior firepower, integrated agency archibald ingall stretton… has appointed business director, Melanie Hunter, to the O2 account and at the same time, promoted Will Rolt to the inaugural role of head of marketing. 
 
Formerly head of marketing and communications at smartphone banking service, MoBank, Hunter brings a wealth of telecoms experience to the role, which will see her heading up part of one of the agency’s biggest accounts. Meanwhile Rolt, previously archibald ingall stretton… new business manager, will now oversee all marketing activities for the agency, encompassing PR and new business projects. 
 
Hunter, who has 11 years’ industry experience, is fully conversant with a wide range of marketing disciplines, having worked both agency- and client-side. Before her time at MoBank, she held the role of associate director at marketing agency Pepper Corporation. As a member of the senior management team, Hunter’s responsibilities included commercial and personnel management and full client servicing for accounts such as RBS, L&G and First Choice. 
 
Other key brands Hunter has worked on range from retail (Sainsbury’s, M&S), to automotive, (Honda, Mercedes), to Telcom (Orange, BT Cellnet). Her career began in retention at Marks & Spencer’s.
 
A 2008 DMA Young Spark runner-up, 29-year old Rolt has proved his immense worth during his three years at the agency – the last two of which have seen him driving the agency’s new business effort single-handedly. Under Rolt’s direction, 2010 saw archibald ingall stretton… shortlisted for Campaign and Marketing’s Direct Agency of the Year as well as winning eights golds and the Grand Prix at last year’s DMA awards. Before joining the agency, Rolt worked at LBi and, before that, regional agency InGeniusOne.
