MANILA, PHILIPPINES – SB19 has teamed up with Spotify once again to celebrate their latest era, Simula at Wakas, through immersive, fan-first experiences on the global platform.
Since joining the platform, SB19’s streams have grown by 153% year-on-year, driven by their top five most-streamed tracks on Spotify: MAPA, GENTO, Hanggang Sa Huli, DAM, and Bazinga. With strong listenership in the United States, Canada, Singapore, and the UAE, their global footprint continues to expand. Meanwhile, the This Is SB19 playlist has surged by 160% in followers year-on-year, becoming the fandom’s one-stop destination for streaming every SB19 era.
In 2020, SB19 was one of Spotify’s first RADAR Philippines artists — a global music program spotlighting emerging talent. In 2021, their streams grew by more than 20 times, reflecting growing fan momentum and impact of early platform support. SB19 and Spotify have since collaborated on more milestones, including SB19 A’TIN ’To, a campaign that brought the Pagsibol EP to the streets via a roving jeepney art exhibit co-created with Filipino visual artists.

“At Spotify, it’s beyond just getting music out there, it’s about creating meaningful connections between artists and fans. We’re privileged to be part of SB19’s journey from the early days of RADAR to the global spotlight, and we’re just as excited about how they are inspiring other Pinoy artists and taking the local P-Pop scene to the next level. We’re committed to providing artists with the ability to share their stories and create richer experiences that deepen their relationship with fans, so listeners feel like they are truly part of the journey,” said Kossy Ng, Head of Music for Spotify Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
“We’re proud to stand behind SB19, who continues to break new ground. Their journey is a testament to their perseverance, and we are thrilled to continuously work alongside Spotify to raise the bar for Filipino artists. We’re excited to see how SB19’s latest EP, Simula at Wakas has come to life — connecting deeply with their fans in the Philippines and around the world,” shared Roslyn Pineda, General Manager of Sony Music Philippines.
Bringing Simula at Wakas to life on Spotify: Fan-first experiences for A’TIN
With Simula at Wakas, Spotify worked closely with SB19 to create a slate of innovative experiences that celebrate the fandom and the way fans connect with their favorite artists today.

Live on Spotify, BALASA invites A’TIN to go beyond streaming and experience Simula at Wakas in a whole new way — through a fandom-powered quest. Hidden across five tracks on the This Is SB19 playlist are digital cards, each tied to a member of the group. Fans can unlock them by streaming and sharing the right songs, with clues embedded in Canvas that accompany each track.
Earlier this month, SB19 fronted Spotify’s first-ever Listening Party by a Filipino act — pulling nearly 20,000 Premium users across 25 markets into the Simula at Wakas story. Part of Spotify’s suite of tools that power deeper fan engagement, Listening Parties offer artists a real-time space to mark major releases. For A’TIN, it meant hearing the stories behind the music directly from Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken and Justin.
To gear up for SB19’s two-night Simula at Wakas World Tour Kickoff concert happening on May 31 and June 1, Spotify is taking over The Setlist until June 7 — a curated pre-game and post-concert companion that spans every SB19 era.
“From our Go Up days to this new chapter, our journey has always been about the music, the moments, and the fans who’ve been with us every step of the way,” shared SB19. “We’re grateful to have Spotify with us again for this era — not just to share our music, but to build experiences that bring us and A’TIN closer.”
