Alexander Svensson joins Something as Creative Lead while Christie Berry signs on as Senior Integrated Producer

LONDON, UK — Culture-driven creative studio Something™ has made two new senior hires to help drive creative and production across its growing client list, which includes Diageo, Tommy Hilfiger and Elite Model Management.

Alexander Svensson has been hired as Creative Lead after a stint freelancing at Something. Alexander, the former Senior Creative at Brave Bison, has demonstrated his unique creative and collaborative skills at Something by transforming a whisky-tasting experience into a cultural moment for Diageo, and turning a celebration of 50 years of Hip Hop into a launchpad for the music genre’s future stars for Tommy Hilfiger.

Christie Berry has also joined Something from OK Cool as Senior Integrated Producer to drive the agency’s creative production capabilities and inspire its progressive approach to cultural activation for brands. Christie will work across all clients and report to Operations Director Blaise Hypolite

The new hires will work across the entire business: creative agency Something™ Studios, the entertainment offering Something™ Originals, and future-focussed media platform TMRRW.

At Brave Bison, Alexander worked with clients including the BBC, Uniqlo, Elesse, the US Open, and Snapchat. He started in creative roles at Vice Media’s i-D magazine, where he worked with high-profile fashion clients, including Burberry, YSL, Armani, Chanel and H&M.

Nick Hoskin, Co-founder and Executive Creative Director at Something, said: “Alex is a rare talent, equally strategic as he is creative. He’s had such a positive impact while freelancing with us that we jumped at the chance to bring him on board permanently.”

Alexander Svensson said: “I’m overjoyed to be a part of Something and to help deliver on the company’s unique proposition, and to help brands create a meaningful value exchange with people. Moving forward, I’m excited at the prospect of growing the Something team, clients and culture and supporting the development of our unscripted entertainment offering, Something Originals.”

Christie was a senior producer with OK Cool, working with Nike, Squarespace, Moncler and Cos. She previously worked in creative production and content roles at Conde Nast and Hypebeast.

Blaise Hypolite said: “Christie’s an exceptional talent with the perfect blend of experience across publishers and brands. She’ll help lead production on some of our key accounts, and the whole team is looking forward to benefiting from her passion and knowledge as well as her talent for brand promotion and curation.”

Christie Berry, commented: “Joining Something has allowed me to align my own creative interests and passion for community with their existing cultural offering – already delivering phenomenal content. I’m excited to see what we can develop together next.”
