BMB names Pimwadee Lai as new Creative Director

LONDON, UK — Creative agency BMB has appointed Pimwadee “Pim” Lai as Creative Director, in a move that will strengthen its creative leadership team under new Chief Creative Officer Laurent Simon.

Pim brings a wealth of original thinking and experience to the role. She recently relocated to London from Singapore, where she was Creative Director at TBWA\Media Arts Lab, and her work included original content for the “Shot on iPhone” and “Relax, it’s iPhone” platforms for Apple APAC.

Her career also includes a four-year stint at R/GA in Singapore, where she served as both Creative Director and Associate Creative Director, collaborating with clients such as Netflix, Uber, and Samsung on integrated ad campaigns and rebranding projects. Additionally, Pim has held senior roles at Dentsu Singapore, BBDO, and Saatchi & Saatchi, working on major campaigns for brands including Uniqlo, Guinness, and Mercedes Benz. She’s won a plethora of awards, including six Cannes Lions, six D&AD pencils, and five One Show awards, amongst others.

Laurent said, “We are thrilled to welcome Pim to BMB. Her exceptional talent and innovative approach to creativity are exactly what we need to push our boundaries and deliver extraordinary work for our clients.”

Pim commented, “I am incredibly excited to join BMB and be a part of such a dynamic team. I believe in the power of simplicity, craft, and experimentation, and I look forward to making more great work together.”

Jason Cobbold, CEO at BMB, shared,“Following Laurent’s appointment in April, it’s great to get Pim on board. We are looking forward to continuing to build on the agency’s creative credentials.”

As BMB heads into its 20th year in 2025, the appointment further evidences the agency’s commitment to future growth following the recent hire of Flora Joll as Head of Strategy and the promotion of Matt Bonny to Head of Growth, along with Laurent, who joined from VMLY&R London.
