People: Eugene Cheong of DDB Asia named Cannes Lions 2022 Jury President for Outdoor Category

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Among other incredible leaders in the creative industry, Eugene Cheong, CCO of DDB Asia, Singapore has been named a Jury President for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2022, where he will lead the Outdoor Category. LIONS announced four Jury Presidents from APAC; alongside Cheong, there is Yasuharu Sasaki of Dentsu, Natalie Lam of Publicis Groupe, and Kimberlee Wells of TBWA.

With over 250 Cannes Lions and 2,500 campaigns to his name, Cheong is renowned for being the most awarded creative head of Ogilvy Asia Pacific, where he previously worked for over 20 years. Armed with 30 years of experience in the industry, Cheong has worked with some of the biggest brands in the world, including Coca-Cola, Guinness, Singtel, Huawei, SC Johnson, and Shangri-La Hotels. Cheong is named among the world’s 50 best copywriters by the D&AD Copy Book and recognized as The One Show’s most awarded creative in 2016.

Cannes Lions opened for entries on Jan. 20. This year’s Cannes Lions will take place on June 20-24. The Festival will be accessible to everyone and delegate registration is now open.
