People: MRM China boosts team, appoints new Managing Director

SHANGHAI, CHINA — MRM, a leading data science, technology innovation, and creatively-driven relationship marketing agency, today announced that Leo Chu has joined the McCann Worldgroup family, taking on the role as Managing Director of MRM China.

Leo reports jointly to Emily Chang, CEO of McCann Worldgroup China, and also to Kate MacNevin, Global Chairwoman & CEO, MRM.

Leo is an industry veteran, starting off his career with leading agencies like AKQA and W&K, and has held various leadership roles in both digital/e-commerce platforms and brands. Previously VP of Content & Branding of a leading cross-border Tmall Partner, Leo was responsible for operational transformation across content, influencers and social commerce.

Prior to that, Leo was Managing Director at Stadium Goods, VP of Global Marketing Partnerships at NBA China, and Managing Director of Tribal DDB. His strong leadership and ability to grow an agency have been widely acknowledged in the market.
