People: Publicis Groupe China promotes Andy Ho to Chief Growth Officer

SHANGHAI, CHINA — Advertising agency Publicis Groupe announced that Andy Ho, global client partner, has been promoted as Chief Growth Officer of Publicis Groupe China. In this newly created role, Ho will continue to manage the Groupe’s global client business, lead Groupe’s new business development, Power of One accounts expansion, and manage Groupe’s marketing and communications. He will also oversee the integration of mergers and acquisitions in China.

Ho will report to Jane Lin-Baden, managing partner APAC, and CEO of Publicis Groupe North Asia. Publicis Groupe China’s new business development team, marketing & communications team, as well as selective Power of One account teams, will report to Ho. Wiredcraft China team will also report to him, which is a digital product consulting and technology company that has just joined Publicis Groupe. Wiredcraft has over 100 local and international experts dedicated to helping clients create and launch digital products critical to their business mission.

Ho is a rare talent in integrated marketing and communications who knows the creative, media, and digital businesses so well that can easily integrate all the capabilities into a tailor-made marketing solution for a client. His expertise especially lies in the automotive, FMCG, and technology industries. He joined Publicis Groupe in 2019 as Global Client Partner. In the past three years, he has spearheaded global clients’ development in China, and he is committed to implementing the Power of One model within the Groupe, connecting different business segments and professional service capabilities of Publicis Groupe, and providing clients with end-to-end marketing solutions.

Under his leadership, Publicis Groupe has successfully won major clients including Genesis Motor, GAC FCA, etc. He also built and led Publicis1, the Power of One team created exclusively for Genesis Motor, to help the client fulfill brand building, product launch, and end-to-end marketing systems in China within one year. It won the team a Silver of Campaign Asia’s 2021 Greater China Agency Marketer Partnership of the Year, due to his tacit understanding, professionalism, and innovation in cooperation with the client. Before joining Publicis Groupe, he was Group Strategist of Dentsu Aegis Network and President of Beijing Dentsu. Prior to that, he launched mcgarrybowen and was appointed as the founding Managing Director in APAC.
