Quantcast, an AI-powered advertising platform that helps brands and agencies turn audiences into customers and intent into measurable growth, today announced the appointment of former Yahoo advertising leader, Matthew Chan, as its new Head of Sales in Hong Kong.
Under his new remit, Chan will be responsible for growing Quantcast’s business in Hong Kong, working closely with agencies, brands and partners to expand the business’ market offering, including the newly launched AI-driven, goal-based advertising solution, Q+.
Digital veteran Chan brings more than 15 years’ leadership experience in digital advertising across Greater China to Quantcast, with significant expertise in business strategy and development, data analytics and sales operations.
Chan joins Quantcast from Yahoo, where he held senior sales roles for nearly two decades, most recently as Head of Advertising Business for Taiwan, Hong Kong and China, and leading commercial and operational functions across the markets.
During his time at Yahoo, he also oversaw the platform’s China outbound business, significantly growing its programmatic buying through agency and advertiser partnerships, and led the launch of a first-in-market programmatic digital out-of-home campaign, which was recognised by the IAB Hong Kong.
He was an Executive Committee Member of the IAB Hong Kong from 2022 to 2024 and has also worked with Verizon Media and FedEx.
“Matthew brings incredible expertise in programmatic advertising, commercial strategy and agency partnerships to Quantcast, making him well-placed to lead our Hong Kong sales team,” Quantcast Vice President of APAC, Paul Sigaloff, said.
“Matthew’s commercial strengths in programmatic growth and partnership development will be critical as we continue to expand our footprint in the Chinese market. He has a proven track record for reshaping businesses for long-term growth, helping to develop new revenue streams and partnership models. His strong reputation as a sales leader makes him a valuable addition to the team as we continue to drive growth, strengthen agency relationships and deliver greater value to our clients across the region.”
Commenting on his new role, Chan said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Quantcast at such a pivotal time for the digital advertising industry. Hong Kong is a dynamic and highly competitive market, and I look forward to working with the team to build on Quantcast’s momentum, strengthen our agency partnerships and unlock new opportunities for growth. I’m particularly excited to bring my experience across Hong Kong and China to the role, helping brands and agencies harness the power of programmatic advertising, data and AI to drive better outcomes for their businesses.”
Chan joins Quantcast this week and will report to Sigaloff.
