MANILA – Dentsu Aegis Network has named today “One Day for Change” – where over 9,000 staff across Asia Pacific will have the opportunity to give one day of their time to support a cause or a charity in the community. All agencies within Dentsu Aegis Network in the region will take the day to support local or national causes.
Staff at Dentsu Aegis Network Philippines will be helping a school in Mandaluyong City through its “Post-Brigada Eskwela/ school reconstruction and makeover” initiative. All staffs of Dentsu Aegis Network Philippines will come together as one team and will actively refurbish identified areas of Hulo Elementary School.
Dentsu Aegis Network has a commitment to its Corporate Social Responsibility programme, and part of this focuses on the ability to positively affect the local communities. All agencies in a country will come together to support each other as they support the community, taking the same day to create maximum positive impact.
Nick Waters, CEO Dentsu Aegis Network Asia Pacific said: “The creation of One Day for Change in Asia Pacific is a unified approach for our group to contribute something back to the societies within which we all earn a living. It is only the contribution of one day out of our lives, but if that contribution can make a positive difference to people who rely on the support of others, then we can take heart. I hope this is just the beginning.”
Miguel Ramos, CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network Philippines said, ”The One Day for Change in Asia Pacific is a perfect opportunity for our group to come together and make a positive contribution to the community through our chosen beneficiary. We hope it is a strong start in creating a culture of giving back as individuals and as a company.”
