Arts & Culture: A First Look at Van Gogh Alive in Manila—the World’s Most-Visited Multi-Sensory Exhibition is Now Open in One BHS

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Van Gogh Alive, presented by The Bonifacio Art Foundation Inc. (BAFI) and One Bonifacio High Street, together with Globe, Oppo, and Security Bank Credit Cards finally opens its doors to the public! The world-renowned works of Vincent Van Gogh, appreciated around the world, are now brought to contemporary life at the 4th level of BGC’s  newest shopping, dining & lifestyle center, One Bonifacio High Street, from October 26 until December 8, 2019.

Staying true to its promise to bring awe-inspiring, creative experiences, the Bonifacio Art Foundation, Inc. (BAFI) is the proponent of this world-renowned exhibition. BAFI, a non-profit organization, also conceived, created and operates projects such as The Mind Museum, the BGC Arts Center and the BGC Public Art Program.

This 2019, BAFI worked with Grande Exhibitions, an Australian company to create the Van Gogh Alive experience for the Filipino public for the first time. To make all these possible, BAFI partnered with One Bonifacio High Street (One BHS)—the final puzzle piece that completes BGC’s Passion Kilometer, which brings its “live, work, play” promise to life. To cap it all off is this milestone for One BHS- a one-of-a-kind, multi-sensory experience.

“It was a natural partnership with BAFI in redefining what can be creatively done inside indoor spaces. It was a coming together of how BGC can be a game-changer in its creative approach to community life and how to punctuate our collective experiences of a place,“ said Myra Ocampo, Head of Commercial Operations of Bonifacio Global City.

The experience transcends the artificial borders we build for ourselves or the ones that set us apart from others.

“Van Gogh Alive is not Van Gogh gaining new relevance 150 years later,  but the same genius up close and personal, navigating your soul in the language of nuanced light – from tender to cobalt blues, reticent creams to raging yellows, with the musical genius of Bach, Schubert, Vivaldi, among others.”, revealed Maria Isabel Garcia, Managing Director/Curator of the Bonifacio Art Foundation, Inc. (BAFI).
