Awards: PAGEONE Group makes a sweep in 2020 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The PAGEONE Group of PR, digital content and integrated marketing communications agencies clinched trophies across three award levels—Gold, Silver and Bronze—in the seventh annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards.

The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards are the only business awards program to recognize innovation in the workplace in all 29 nations of the Asia-Pacific region.  The Stevie Awards are widely considered to be the world’s premier business awards, conferring recognition for achievement in programs such as The International Business Awards® for 18 years.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the winners will be celebrated during a virtual (online) awards ceremony on Tuesday, September 22.

More than 1,000 nominations from organizations across the Asia-Pacific region were considered this year. PAGEONE and its clients won a total of one Gold, two Silver and two Bronze awards for various PR and digital communications campaigns. 

The Philippines’ leading mobile wallet GCash clinched a Gold Stevie in the category of Innovation in Community Relations or Public Service Communications for its revolutionary GCash Forest program that engages today’s youth in environmental and sustainability issues through a gamified reforestation feature on the app.

In the same category, global geothermal energy leader Energy Development Corporation (EDC) also won a Silver Stevie for its Baslay coffee project, a stakeholder engagement campaign that capacitates upland farmers with sustainability coffee farming skills to turn them away from their former destructive slash-and-burn (“kaingin”) practices.

PAGEONE’s own top-ranking content platform PageOne.ph won a Silver Stevie in the category of Innovation in the Use of Social Media for its campaign against mental illness and depression through the use of original digital personas or avatars.

Leading information technology learning institution STI garnered a Bronze Stevie in the category of Innovation in the Use of Events for its Career Camp that reaches out to Filipino youth across the nation to pursue a college education in the lucrative IT sector.

Food manufacturing giant Universal Robina Corporation (URC) also won a Bronze Steve in the category of Innovation in Community Relations or Public Service Communications for its Sagana Sustansya program focused on addressing hidden hunger among public school youth in the Philippines through an innovative, affordable and replicable vegetable-based food additive.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 100 executives around the world acting as judges in May and June.
