Brand & Business: Cisco ranks #1 in the Philippines Best Workplaces 2022 TM by Great Place to Work® for Third Consecutive Year

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Cisco, a worldwide leader in technology, has been ranked number one in the medium category of the Philippines Top 25 Best Workplaces 2022™ by Great Place to Work® (GPTW). This is the third consecutive year that Cisco has been ranked at the top of the list in this category.

Organizations recognized in the Philippines Best Workplaces 2022 list are curated using rigorous analytics and a confidential Trust Index© Employee Survey, which maps the employee experience through five pillars: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.

Employees were invited to respond to over 60 survey questions, where they report their experiences of working at the company in areas including enjoying a good working environment, getting a sense of belonging when they joined the company and experiencing a sense of pride in their accomplishments. These data points were further evaluated by seasoned consultants using Great Place to Work® For All methodology.

In this year’s survey[1] , 100% of participating employees revealed that they were “proud to be working at Cisco.” 96% of employees said Cisco is a great place to work, surpassing the average of 53% of employees at a typical global company who say the same.

“At Cisco, people come first. We have always worked to ensure that we put our employee experience first – from empowering them with the right tools to access business applications and services in ways that work for them, to supporting their overall wellbeing through workshops to enhance mindfulness, respond to change and improve work-life balance,” said Zaza Nicart, Managing Director, Cisco Philippines.

Powering an inclusive future for all

Cisco’s vision to power an inclusive future for all extends to their employees. Ongoing initiatives such as “Standout Assessment,” where employees check-in with their managers every week for a focused conversation about their work sentiments, priorities and strengths create opportunities for open conversations, reflection, and sense of belonging within teams.

A global initiative, Employee Resource Organizations (EROs) empower employees to accelerate their personal and professional development by getting involved in interest groups stemming from Women of Cisco to Early in Career Network.

“Diversity is viewed as a strength within the organization. We recognize that in order to promote a creative, innovative, and collaborative experience for all, we need to create open forums of discussions that welcome all views,” said Nicart. “We do this by providing multiple avenues for our employees to be heard and to support one another.”

In the Philippines, Cisco established the Bureau of Employee Affairs (BEA), with the mission of giving voice to every Cisco employee, to create a comprehensive environment that promotes employee engagement within and outside the workplace. This supports the firm’s Conscious Culture, where employees are aware of the environment that they are part of, feel accountable, empowered, and actively contribute to a diverse and inclusive community.

“Indeed, at Cisco, the ‘bridge to possible’ is paved by the talent, ingenuity, and resilience of our people. I want to thank and congratulate the Cisco Philippines team for their resilience and continued trust in making Cisco a great place to work. This award is a testament and affirmation of our strong values and the diverse, inclusive, and thriving culture we have,” said Nicart.
