Speculations about an attempted surprise exit by seven senior creatives at DDB Philippines (as first reported in Media Asia) led by Executive Creative Director Teeny Gonzales and Deputy ECD Russell Molina, were confirmed by Group President & CEO Gil Chua Wednesday evening. But Chua told adobo that the agency was currently "negotiating with the team, so nothing is final yet."
Chief Marketing Officer and President for Tribal DDB, Touch DDB and DDB Media Susan Dimacali echoed Chua’s statement and added that until there is further development, "it was business as usual."
Dimacali, who brought Gonzales and other creatives over from Harrison Communications, also denied that the group was leaving to service a telco account.
The telco account in question is allegedly the subject of a pitch by Y&R, Lowe and Publicis.
UPDATE: DDB Group President Gil Chua contested the report that as many as seven senior creatives were leaving the agency. However, he made no further clarification on the matter.
