Yehey! and October Eighty Publications partner with STIR.ph, website launches showbiz magazine

An instant online hit weeks after its debut in February 2009, STIR.ph opens 2010 by hitting the newsstands.  During its launch at Zirkoh early this week, STIR.ph extends its media reach.

An acronym for “showbiz talk and intriguing reports,” STIR.ph is a Philippine showbiz gossip site with star trivia, blind items and user-generated content.  With Yehey!, a local digital portal, behind STIR.ph’s online power, local entertainment news unfold in real time. STIR.ph website, and magazine, are prepared for publication by editors Edgar Cruz and Maryo Labanda, respectively.

Making its presence in local publishing, October Eighty Publications teamed up with Yehey! to produce the weekly magazine.

Barely a year old, and already with strong following, STIR.ph’s print version serves media, as well as the site’s thousands of readers here and abroad.

Holding the Pink Carpet STIR Awards to celebrate its first year anniversary in the trade, a number of entertainment writers joined in welcoming Philippine showbiz’s latest baby.

The first two issues are for free, and will be distributed in MRT and LRT stations.  The magazine can also be scored from coffee shops, salons and TV stations.

Seems there’s still no biz like showbiz.
