Registration for adobo Run After Dark ongoing until October 23

THE PHILIPPINES, OCTOBER 18, 2011: The countdown is on for the most exciting moonlit event of the year! Do not miss the chance to run with other nocturnal creatures who will be dressed up in their Halloween best at the adobo Run After Dark 2011 on October 29 at Aseana City. Register between now and Sunday, October 23 to make sure you are part of this spectacular event!  
 
The 3K, 5K and 15K fantasy-themed run at the Aseana Business Park near Mall of Asia in Pasay City is set for the start of the Halloween-All Saints’-All Souls’ Day long weekend. Call time for all categories is at 7PM. Samba percussionists, fire breathers, zip and salsa dancers will signaling the start of the race instead of the starting gun shot at 8pm for 3K, 8:20pm for 5K and 9 PM for 15K.
 
An overwhelming number of participants have already been through the online registration at www.adoborun.runningmate.ph and even literally run to R.O.X. Bonifacio High Street, Toby’s EDSA Shangri-La Mall, and Runnr Trinoma to register in person.   Individual and group awards will be given for Best Costume. Cash prizes await top runners, while the first 500 finishers of the 5K and 15K races will receive a finisher’s medal.
 
Cap the night with overflowing, drink-like-there’s-no-tomorrow free booze courtesy of Manila Beer. The after-run party starts at 10PM with live band music and a sideline bazaar. Booths are still open for concessionaires. Contact Michael Rey at (02)845-0218 or 0917-8366798 for particulars. 
 

 
The run’s beneficiary is Isang Litrong Liwanag, which brings innovative solar bulb technology to thousands of homes across the Philippines. Runners are encouraged to donate empty 1.5-liter soda bottles for the cause. 
 
Now on its 2nd year, adobo Run After Dark is made possible by adobo magazine, the premier publication for the advertising and marketing industry.  
 
Organizing the adobo Run after Dark 2011 is Crush Communications – an advertising and event company with a Singapore-based mother company. The fast-rising creative agency organized Leg 1 and 2 of the World Cup Qualifier matches of the Philippine Azkals that were held in Rizal Memorial Coliseum last July.  
 
With Crush is Edward Kho as race director, a seasoned runner who has organized a number of runs including the successful Corregidor International Half-Marathon and the “Last Man Running” event of Rogin-E.
