Brand & Business: Allianz PNB Life partners with SOS Children’s Villages for youth mentorship program

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Allianz PNB Life continues to advocate for the secure future of Filipinos, especially the youth. Together with SOS Children’s Villages, the leading insurance brand in the world officially launched the “YouthCan!” mentorship program last Monday, April 11.

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Allianz PNB Life for this endeavor,” said Romil I. Rayos Del Sol, OIC and Deputy National Director. “We at SOS Children’s Villages believe that every Filipino child deserves to be empowered. Through the ‘YouthCan!’ program, and with Allianz PNB Life’s help, we will be able to equip children in need with the tools, skills, and outlook to be able to rely on themselves when they pursue an independent living.”

“Just like SOS, we believe that every Filipino, especially the Filipino youth, deserves a sustainable life and a secure future,” said Allianz PNB Life President and CEO, Alexander Grenz. “We trust that ‘YouthCan!’ will allow Allianz PNB Life to make this possible. We are looking forward to sharing our knowledge and expertise with the youth we will be mentoring, and we are positive that they will be prepared for what the future has in store for them, thanks to ‘YouthCan!’.”

SOS Children’s Villages is a private, non-government organization that aims to provide a normal family environment for abandoned, neglected, or orphaned Filipino children. It also works to strengthen and uplift the communities it serves by giving parents the boost they need to support their families through health, education, and livelihood programs, and disaster and crisis response.

The “YouthCan!” Program was launched globally in 2017, with the goal of presenting the youth with opportunities to be economically productive, transforming the participants into dynamic leaders and independent, self-reliant individuals through one-on-one mentoring relationships, as well as virtual training sessions and web-based learning tutorials.

This ties in with Allianz PNB Life’s mission, which is to secure the future of every Filipino. Through “YouthCan!”, volunteers from the company will be partnered with an SOS mentee and are tasked with helping them acquire practical skills through training programs, job shadowing opportunities, and internships.

“‘YouthCan!’ is a great opportunity for us here at Allianz to make meaningful contributions to the lives of young Filipinos,” said Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Sustainability, Gino Riola. “We know that this program can inspire and encourage a new generation of leaders, opening doors for them to employment through skill development and access to networks, so we are very grateful for this continued collaboration with SOS.”
