ADFEST 2012 presents Cirkus, Gunn Report’s 100 Best Commercials, and Contagious

ASIA-PACIFIC – THAILAND, FEBRUARY 2012: ADFEST 2012 will be presenting a slew of activities including Cirkus’ "Get Creative with your Mind and Money, play the Cirkus Animation Game" workshop, Gunn Report’s exciting reels and The Gunn Report’s ‘100 Best Commercials of the 20th Century,’ and 
Contagious Communications is returning to ADFEST to present: “Marketing for Humans, not Robots: Less Killer App, More Killer Experience”.
 
For Cirkus, ringmaster Marko Klijn, executive producer at Cirkus in Auckland, will visualize the production limitations and possibilities available within a limited timeline and budget, showcasing alternative methods and “shortcuts by design” that will allow agencies to arrive at the best quality production within their project requirements.
 
At The Gunn Report’s screening of ‘100 Best Commercials of the 20th Century’, delegates can stop concentrating on ADFEST’s stellar line-up of speakers for an hour or so, and sit back and enjoy. The reel contains the world’s best commercials from the 1960s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Delegates will also enjoy screenings of this year’s winning short films from LA Shorts, the largest short film festival in the world, and Young Director Award, which is specifically dedicated to beginners. Young Director Award is overseen by the Commercial Film Producers of Europe (CFP-E) and Shots magazine.
 
Meanwhile, D&AD’s ‘Black Pencil Showreel’ will also screen at ADFEST, featuring the world’s most groundbreaking TV commercials and film over five decades. ADFEST will also screen the 2011 winners from the Young Director Award (www.youngdirectoraward.com), which has supported and promoted debuting international creative talent in commercial film production since 1998.
 
Neeraj Nayar, president of Contagious/India, will be presenting Contagious’ talk. The Speaker Session will address how agencies and brands are letting technology dictate how they create messages.
