48 entries shortlisted at Boomerang Awards

MANILA, AUGUST 29, 2013 – 48 digital campaigns are shortlisted at the 7th Boomerang Awards to be awarded on August 30 at The Loft, Manansala, Rockwell Center. This year, Boomerang received the most number of entries ever with a total of 129 entries, coming from a wider range of participants, ranging from direct clients, both traditional and digital pure-play agencies as well as publishers.
 
OgilvyOne Worldwide Manila has five shortlisted entries, dominating the list. Its digital campaigns for KFC Crushers, Listerine Mouthwash, Close Up Deep Action, KFC Cheese top burger and Clear Men made it to the list. 
 
Lowe Inc., Y&R Philippines, BBDO Guerrero, Leo Burnett/ARC Worldwide  Phil. Co.Inc., Publicis JimenezBasic and MRM Worldwide secures three slots each. 
 
The shortlisted  campaigns of Lowe Inc. are Green Cross Lewis & Pearl, Surf Fabric conditioner and Axe Deodorant.
 
Y&R Philippines competing campaigns are Colgate Fresh Confidence Palmolive Naturals Healthy, Smooth Shampoo and Colgate Optic White.
 
BBDO Guerrero’s campaigns that was shortlisted are Wrigley’s Doublemint Gum, Johnson’s Baby Cologne and GCASH American Express Virtual.
 
Leo Burnett/ARC Worldwide  Phil. Co.Inc., has shortlisted campaigns of McDonald’s Twister Fries, McDonald’s World Famous Fries and Samsung Galaxy SIII.
 
Lucky Me! The Mission, Globe Mobile Internet and SkyFlakes Fit are shortlisted campaigns of Publicis JimenezBasic.
 
MRM Worldwide has shortlisted three campaigns that made it to the list such as Nescafé, Nestlé Alpo and Nestlé Maggie,
 
Other agencies included in the shortlist are ABC TV5, Bank of the Philippine Islands Ayala Land – Commercial Business Group, TBWA\Mangada Santiago Puno, McCann Erickson, McCann Worldgroup, Havoc Digital Inc., Globe Telecom, Nestlé Philippines, Sun Life Financial Philippines, Mobext, DM9 JaymeSyfu, Movement Inc., Tribal DDB, Yahoo!Philippines, Avida Land Corp., iProspect and MEC.
 
IMMAP Boomerang Awards 2013 jury will be co-chaired by Wunderman executive creative director Pia Roxas and Nestle Philippines digital head Nicole Bulatao. This year’s jury includes Virginia Brocka, BPI digital marketing head, BPI; Leah Besa-Jimenez, Smart Communciations group head for the multiMedia office; Elly Puyat, OgilvyOne chief digital officer & managing director; Budjette Tan, McCann Worldgroup Philippines deputy executive creative director; Jonathan Joson, Havas executive director; Eugene Demata, DM9 JaymeSyfu executive creative director; Pepper Ferarren, BBDO Gueerero planning director; Yasmin Mallari, Coca-Cola Philippines IMC Director; Albet Buddahim, ZO Phils digital head & Performics PH managing director; and Dino Ocampo, Movent executive creative director. 
 
"We wanted perspectives across client and agency. What they all had in common were very strong backgrounds in digital marketing. They were a wonderful jury to work with, both tough and fair. All in all, everyone had a great time learning from each other," said Isa Garcia-Sicam, chair of Bommerang Awards and OgilvyOne Worldide general manager.
