Kidlat Awards extends entry deadline to February 19

The Creative Guild announced that at the request of several creative directors,  it is moving the deadline for submission of entry materials to the Kidlat Awards to February 19.

However entry forms and payment are still due tomorrow, February 12. Organizers emphasized that they will accept entry forms only until tomorrow. Entry payment can be submitted at a later date, but are subject to an additional late fee.

The Kidlat Awards is on its third year and is once again being held on the island of Boracay from April 12-14. Hosted by The Creative Guild, winners will be awarded based on "pure creativity", unlike the AdBoard’s biennial Araw Awards which include marketplace effectiveness in its criteria.

Namely, Tay Guan Hin of JWT Asia Pacific (a warm-up for his stint as President of the 2010 Outdoor Lions in Cannes); Eugene Cheong of Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific, Asia’s most awarded copywriter and  Marcus Rebeschini of Y&R Asia Pacific, recently voted "Advertising Person of the Year" by Campaign Brief Asia.

The Guild has also expanded the categories of Integrated, Outdoor and Direct. In addition, it will award the Kidlat Ads of the Decade (for Print, Radio and TV).
