GURGAON, INDIA – In a compelling fusion of finance, technology and pop culture, Paisabazaar, India’s largest consumer credit marketplace, has unveiled the Credit Premier League (CPL) – a nationwide campaign gamifying credit awareness through innovative tech and influencer engagement. The initiative seeks to redefine how Indians engage with their credit scores, blending artificial intelligence with the visual charm of Studio Ghibli-style avatars.
At the heart of CPL is a standout feature: Paisabazaar’s new AI-powered Selfie Tool, built on the GPT-image-1 model. This unique feature enables users to check their credit scores on the Paisabazaar app and instantly transform their selfies into whimsical, Ghibli-style digital portraits complete with their credit score on display. The avatars, which evoke the gentle artistry and storytelling of Studio Ghibli films, are designed to be shared across social platforms like Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook, triggering a viral credit-checking movement across the country.

The result? A lighthearted but powerful nudge toward financial self-awareness, where credit health becomes as socially shareable as a fitness challenge or fashion trend.
The CPL launch has already seen traction from key influencers who have joined the credit fitness bandwagon. Renowned author Chetan Bhagat, content entrepreneur Ranveer Allahbadia (BeerBiceps) and financial educator Rachana Ranade have each shared their credit scores and Ghibli-inspired selfies online, sparking enthusiasm among their followers.
Their participation lends both credibility and relatability to CPL’s mission, positioning credit score awareness as a vital and now entertaining part of adulting in modern India.
Radhika Binani, Chief Product Officer, Paisabazaar, said: “At Paisabazaar, we have always focussed on Bharat’s financial wellness, by building awareness and engagement around key aspects like credit health. With CPL, we aim to build India’s first and largest credit score contest. A key aspect of the initiative is our use of technology, to encourage conversations around credit health.”
Paisabazaar has been committed to using AI, Machine Learning and other cutting-edge technologies, to drive awareness and improve financial health. The Fintech has been at the forefront of building credit awareness in India for years, using technology to drive a superlative consumer experience.
Mukesh Sharma, Chief Technology Officer, Paisabazaar, added: “Our technology-driven initiatives are designed to make the experience of checking and understanding credit scores more accessible and engaging. The selfie feature adds a layer of fun and social sharing to an otherwise serious topic, bringing credit conversations into the mainstream.”
Paisabazaar was one of the first platforms to offer free credit scores and reports to consumers and has continued to innovate with products like PB VCR, an AI-powered video credit report, and PB Assist, an AI-powered chatbot that delivers personalized credit insights.
