ORAHO+RUN311 returns on its second year

ASIA-PACIFIC – JAPAN, MARCH 6, 2013 – On March 11, 2011, the world saw a magnitude 9.3 earthquake strike the Pacific Coast of Tohoku, followed by a tsunami which affected around 4.4 million households. And this Monday, March 11, marks the second memorial of that Great Northeast Japan Earthquake and Tsunami with the second run of ORAHO+RUN311.

 
McCann Health Communications, who originally produced the “Oraho no Radio Taiso” – the Tohoku dialect version of the popularly-practiced, warm-up exercise, “Radio Taiso”, is supporting the ORAHO+RUN311 again this year. 
 
The project, which is actually composed of two projects – “Oraho no Radio Taiso”, a global charity event, and “RUN311”, a run/walk scheduled on March 9 to 11 while sending prayers for the people in the Tohoku region affected by the 3.11 earthquake – that aim to support the recovery of the Tohoku region.
 
How to participate:
 
-To register, visit the event’s Facebook page and click on “Going”.
 
– Before beginning your run/walk, which can take place anywhere in the world, please be sure to first warm-up with “Oraho no Radio Taiso” exercise. The YouTube Japanese video can be found here.
 
– Print out the attached foot logo and paste it on your outfit and run or walk on any or on all of the three days, March 9 to 11.
 
– After your run/walk, please upload on the event’s official page the approximate distance run/walked with a photo of you with the logo.
