THE PHILIPPINES, DECEMBER 2011: TV5’s Christmas station ID brings together the network’s talents in an entertaining and catchy music video that puts the “mas” (more) into Christmas. In the video, a little boy gets a surprise visit from more guests than he expected. Given ample screen time are TV5 talents including Sharon Cuneta, the Tulfo brothers, the Younghusbands, Edu Manzano, Lorna Tolentino, Lucy Torres, Richard Gomez, Ryan Agoncillo, Joey de Leon, Aga Muhlach, Willie Revillame, Vic Sotto, Dolphy, and Nora Aunor.
A collaboration between agency DM9 JaymeSyfu, production house Unitel and the TV5 creative team, the video was directed by Raul Jorolan. DM9’s executive creative director, Eugene Demata, wrote the song, which was arranged by Allan Feliciano and produced by LoudBox. Lending vocals to the song is Megastar Sharon Cuneta, who recently signed on to be a Kapatid.
“TV5 wanted to capture fun and excitement of the growing network in a simple easy to remember with singable lyrics,” said Demata. The ‘mas’ idea also resonates TV5’s commitments of providing more to its viewers in terms of quality entertainment, news and public affairs programs.”
It has been a year of many firsts for TV5, which has rapidly expanded in terms of talent, infrastructure and investment, making it a serious challenger in the local broadcasting scene.
