The dog tags are out! DDB-led AKO MISMO celebrates Philippine independence starting 2pm Friday, with a charity fair and benefit concert at the Fort Global City Open Field. By purchasing the coveted accessories and other merchandise in the charity booth of their choice, the public can directly contribute to change.
The P40 dog tag — a youthful version of the ubiquitous cause ribbons, featured in a popular TVC that broke during the Pacquiao fight — serves as an entrance ticket to the fair, which culminates in a 7pm free concert featuring some genuinely hot bands: Ely Buendia and Pupil, Bamboo, the Dawn, Kamikaze, Kjwan and Up Dharma Down. Gates open at 2pm.
There will be fun booths (including an Ako Kiss Mo booth with celebrities), plus booths from beneficiary partners Caritas Manila, UN Stand Up Against Poverty and Millenium Development Goals, World Vision, Dynamic Teen Company, ERDA Foundation, Gawad Kalinga, UP PGH Cancer Institute, PNP Badge of Honor Foundation, PLDT Smart Foundation, DDB Cares, Cutis Laxa Benefit.
