Cebu Pacific website earns top honors at country-wide web awards

THE PHILIPPINES, MARCH 5, 2012: With its e-ticketing option, web and self check-in systems, and “Lite Fares” program, Cebu Pacific copped the Best Airline Website award at the recently concluded Digital Filipino – Search Profile Index Web Awards.

www.cebupacificair.com received the highest points in the three-pronged criteria set by The Digital Filipino: search engine and social media visibility (40%), website traffic and stickiness (40%), and technical performance (20%).

“We are very happy to be recognized by the Digital Filipino for our online efforts, since Cebu Pacific has remained at the forefront of innovative marketing and e-commerce in the Philippines,” said Cebu Pacific’s vice president for marketing and distribution Candice Iyog.

Cebu Pacific launched a partnership with agoda.com last year for hotel bookings through the website; it also re-introduced the CEB Club, which allows passengers to store guest details, view and print itinerary receipts, change or cancel bookings, add baggage allowance, and check flight status, among other features. The airline also introduced a payment center option that allows guests to book online and pay via partner banks.

Digital Filipino is an e-commerce research site that follows local and global information technology developments and assesses their impact on the daily lives of Filipinos. The Digital Filipino Web Awards is the group’s venue to showcase Filipino-owned companies that have the best web presence in terms of their website, e-commerce engine, online marketing, and social network engagement.
