Omnicom agencies celebrate wins at Spikes Asia Festival

GLOBAL – NEW YORK, September 20, 2013 — Omnicom agencies celebrated after topping the rankings at the Spikes Asia Festival in Singapore, with BBDO and DDB keeping their place among the top three networks for five consecutive years. 
 
DDB New Zealand and OMD China took third place in the agency and media categories respectively.
 
BBDO had a record festival winning nine Golds and a Creative Effectiveness award for the "It’s More Fun in the Philippines" tourism campaign. DDB-DM9JaymeSyfu was the second most awarded winner for Smart Communications’ TXTBKS campaign, which picked up two Grand Prix and two Gold awards.
 
BBDO and DDB were among over 35 agencies in 10 countries that contributed to Omnicom winning over 100 creative awards at Spikes, the Cannes of Asia Pacific.
 
WHYBIN\TBWA Sydney won two Creative Effectiveness Spike Awards – one for Australia’s NRMA Insurance and one for M.J. Bale. WHYBIN\TBWA Auckland also took home the Grand Prix for the ‘100% Middle Earth, 100% Pure New Zealand’ campaign for Tourism New Zealand.
