Fully Booked opens The Reading Room for World Book Day

In time for World Book Day on April 23, homegrown bookstore Fully Booked invites bookworms to visit the Reading Room.

For three days, Fully Booked will cover The Studio, which typically hosts book events, into a “Reading Room” where bookworms can preview advance reading copies (ARCs) and highly anticipated titles before their release dates. ARCs of upcoming releases such as Matt Haig’s The Midnight Train, Rainbow Rowell’s Cherry Baby, Asako Yuzuki’s Hooked, and more will be available for reading. Bookworms can also read freshly published titles such as Uketsu’s Strange Buildings and Jennette McCurdy’s Half His Age.

“Reading a chapter or two is the best way for a reader to know whether a book is something they will delight in. We’re excited to facilitate this experience with our Reading Room sessions, in a space where reading can take center stage,” says Ilia Uy, Fully Booked’s Head of Marketing.

Bookworms visiting the Reading Room will be asked to register and given a Reading Room Card, similar to a library card, to record the chosen books they’ll borrow for their session. Each participant will be given an hour and a half to read. They can read and borrow as many titles as they want during the session duration, but only one at a time.

This is the second time Fully Booked is holding a Reading Room, following its first run last year. The event will take place from April 23–25 at The Studio, on the third floor of Fully Booked’s flagship store at Bonifacio High Street, BGC.

The Reading Room has a limited number of slots. Interested bookworms can register here: https://bit.ly/FBReadingRoom2026
