TBWAGroup Singapore’s Alrick Dorett takes on expanded COO post in Malaysia

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, JANUARY 18, 2012: Alrick Dorett, TBWAGroup Singapore’s COO, will step up to the new and expanded COO role for both the Singapore and Malaysia offices of the agency. Dorett’s role is expected to boost collaboration between the two agencies in Southeast Asia.
 
Dorett joins the Malaysian management team headed by TBWA’s managing director Aaron Cowie; executive creative director Jeff Orr; head of account management Shaun Tay; finance director Yeong Hoong Meng; Creative JuiceSil’s MD and ECD Sa’ad Hussein; and CFO Tan Lai Keat.
 
Philip Brett, TBWA’s president for South and Southeast Asia, and Dorett brought TBWATEQUILA to the Singapore market in 1997. Dorett then held the CFO position in the agency until his appointment in TBWAGroup Singapore in September 2009.
 
“Alrick’s track-record as COO in Singapore speaks for itself and makes him the natural choice to join the Malaysia team,” said Alain Rhoné, COO of TBWAGroup Asia Pacific. “He already has a strong relationship with the team there and I’m positive he will make a significant contribution to the success of the Malaysia operation as well as foster cross-border business opportunities that both agencies will benefit from.”
