PHILIPPINES, AUGUST 13, 2010 – Following in the footsteps of Wowowee, noontime variety show Pilipinas, Win na Win! made a millionaire out of a lucky contestant in less than two week on air.
College scholar Von Allen Belinario is Pilipinas, Win Na Win!’s first millionaire. A Broadcast Communications student at PUP-Manila, Belinario declared that will use the money to set up a carinderia (eatery) which he promised his parents. When asked why he took the risk of losing P200,000 to have the chance to win a million, he said: “Naisip ko po na makipagsapalaran, at saka ‘yong experience (sa pagsali) ay hindi nababayaran. (I thought about taking a chance, and that the experience cannot be bought.) "
