GLOBAL – UNITED STATES, JULY 17, 2013- TV5 was named finalist in the 2nd Annual Social TV Awards for its TV Program, News5 Everywhere, and is the only Philippine broadcast company cited in the show that recognizes excellence in the social television space.
News5’s PAGBABAGO Election Coverage was acknowledged in the event yesterday at Bel Air Country Club, Los Angeles. The category was Best News or Information Program Social TV Award, and the other contenders included UNIVISION’s Primer Impacto and Realtime LA Riots by NBC 4 Southern California.
For the election coverage,News5 hit the social stream and maintained an online video and audio content management platform in bringing the news to the public. News5 Everywhere involved the audience and lived up to its ’Higit sa balita, AKSYON’.
