Jason Wu is DDB Shanghai’s new midfielder

ASIA-PACIFIC – CHINA, MARCH 13, 2013 – DDB Group Shanghai has appointed Jason Wu as business director, effective March 2013.
 
Based in Shanghai, Wu is reporting directly to Richard Tan, president and CEO of DDB Group North China. Bringing thirteen years of experience to DDB, he will work alongside the management team to ensure sustainable growth of new local client business in China through the use of creativity and innovation. Key local clients DDB China Group currently manages include XStep, T-Mall, China Resources and e-Long.
 
Tan comments: “With China rapidly growing, we want to ensure we are an agency that collaborates and understands our clients’ business with creativity and innovation sitting at the heart of everything we do for them.”
 
He added: “DDB China Group has built a solid foundation and reputation in China. We believe that Jason as a local talent himself with thirteen year’s of experience and leadership in various client management roles in China, will provide invaluable insights and understanding for local client’s business needs.”
 
Wu said: “I like taking up a mid-fielder position when I play soccer. That position is about creating opportunities and helping the other players score. My role in DDB Group Shanghai is how I’d play on the field, creating new business opportunities for the agency and partnering with our teams to score at pitches and existing client fields.”
