MUMBAI, INDIA – Wendy’s India is celebrating its fifth anniversary, and it’s doing so in a way that’s as bold and unconventional as the brand itself. With more than 200 stores nationwide, the fast food giant is marking this milestone with a month long campaign packed with high energy experiences, viral collaborations, and India’s first ever QSR party bus. Titled “Wendy’s India Turns 5,” the campaign is a full-spectrum brand celebration designed to captivate audiences both online and offline.
This is not your typical fast food anniversary. Instead, Wendy’s is delivering a disruptive mix of music, humour, content and culture, solidifying its reputation as one of India’s most daring quick service restaurant (QSR) brands.
The Wendy’s Party Bus – Mumbai, August 8

In a category-first move, Wendy’s is launching India’s inaugural rave party on wheels. The Wendy’s Party Bus features pulsating beats, immersive neon lighting, and unlimited food – all with Wendy herself “riding shotgun.” Designed as a mobile spectacle, the red-themed bus tour is set to light up the streets of Mumbai with flavour and flair.
The Roast – Bangalore, August 14

Breaking new ground in experiential marketing, Wendy’s is hosting an in store roast battle inside one of its Bangalore outlets. Headlined by comedian and reality-show star Banti Banerjee, this live event will serve up fiery punchlines and irreverent humour – grilling burgers, brands, and perhaps even audience members. Tickets will be available on BookMyShow.
Creator Collaborations
True to its digital first DNA, Wendy’s is partnering with some of India’s most vibrant content creators for a series of offbeat, snackable videos:
- Darshan Magdum drops a parody anthem that’s unapologetically catchy.
- Lakshita & Gurpreet recreate a chaotic GTA style mission set in a Wendy’s world.
- AI duo Manki x Dogesh Bhai deliver a bizarre, ketchup laced existential spiral.
- Chordinary composes a heartfelt yet quirky musical tribute, blending sentiment with satire.
The Burger Cake
A centrepiece of the celebration, this hyperrealistic cake mimics a complete Wendy’s meal – square patties and all. Equal parts delicious and disorienting, it’s the birthday cake that looks too much like lunch to cut into.
The Mockumentary: Behind the Pigtails
In a candid, tongue in cheek short film, Wendy finally tells her story. Moving beyond the “mascot” label, the mockumentary charts her evolution into a bold cultural icon and the unofficial face of India’s fastest growing QSR movement.
The Wendy Raves – Aug 22–24 (Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore)
Blending gastronomy with EDM, Wendy’s is throwing burger fuelled rave nights across four cities. With Coke and Veeba as beverage and gifting partners, these food-and-music fests promise loud beats, bold bites, and a menu curated to party harder than the crowd. Tickets will be available via BookMyShow.
Instagram Takeover
Expect daily doses of chaos. Wendy’s India is owning its digital playground with unfiltered roasts, creator-led surprises, and a feed that trades polished for playful. The brand continues to push boundaries in social media storytelling, turning everyday scrolls into bite sized entertainment.
Commenting on the celebration, Nishant Kedia, CMO, Rebel Foods said “We’ve built a strong following over these five years not just because of what we serve, but how we show up. Wendy’s has always stood out for its bold voice and ability to connect with culture in real time. This campaign is our way of saying thank you, turning up the volume, and celebrating with the very people who made Wendy’s India what it is today.”
