Ogilvy, Shangri-La tell animated tale of A World Of Christmas Warmth

HONG KONG – Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts will be releasing a new animated video every day on Instagram and WeChat as part of its World of Christmas Warmth campaign for the holidays.

The series follows the journey of a little Christmas Star who travels to earth welcomed by a myriad of whimsical creatures and characters, showing the hospitality brand’s tradition of welcoming guests all around the world with warmth and peerless hospitality.

From tigers to manatees, icy tundra to deepest seas, the journey was painstakingly animated by a team of international talents at Cirkus, under the leadership of Romain Borrel, featuring artists from as far afield as Auckland and Shenzhen. The campaign also features an original score by Jianping Zou – an acclaimed Chinese composer and musical professor.

The campaign officially starts today (December 1) and will run until December 25th. Shangri-La is inviting audiences to engage in the daily videos for a chance to win 2,000 Golden Circle Award Points, which can be redeemed for perks like free rooms or room upgrades at the hotel.

To join, participants need to take a screenshot the moment the Star glows with warmth and #regram it, telling Shangri-La who they want to share a #worldofwarmth with and why with the tag #worldofwarmth and @shangrilahotels.
